Pre-production
Sound Grotto can be booked for a writing session or rehearsal for an upcoming performance. PA and backline are included. If you want to develop a song or just work on ideas for any music event, booking a pre-preduction session is the perfect way to get started on your album or any production.
Editing Audio
During this stage, we can correct tuning and/or timing issues, choose takes, remove undesired breath sounds and/or background noise, or clean up timing and/or pitch issues. This is thestage where we can polish the recording. Additionally, you can rearrange your song(s) to perfection with several versions to choose and to get the very best of your session.
Audio Mixing is the process of blending and combining audio tracks so that each element has a pleasing sound and distinct space in a finished stereo recording. The goal of mixing is to bring out the best in your multi-track recording by adjusting: levels, panning, and audio effects for each individual track.
Once we have top-notch tracks, we are ready to begin the process of mixing those tracks for maximum impact, clarity, and vibe.
Recording
This is the point where we capture all the heart and energy of your performance. How do you prefer to record; e.g. with or without a metronome for a more natural feel or a locked-in sequenced groove?… Headphones or open room? All the options are yours! After the recording preceedure is determined, we begin the process of deploying the right mics and mic preamps for the job to start cutting your tracks!
Mastering
Mastering a song involves taking a mix and putting the final touches on it by elevating certain sonic characteristics. This can involve aspects like adjusting levels, applying stereo enhancement, and monitoring for clicks and pops–anything that could distract the listener from the music. The end result is a polished, clean sound that is optimized for consistent playback across different formats and systems.
